Privacy Policy

Last updated May 2026.

This page explains, in plain language, what information Aplio collects and how we use it during early pilot development. We follow the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

The data controller for this website is Damien Schmid, founder of Aplio, based in Lausanne, Switzerland. You can reach the controller at damien.schmid@aplio.app.

What we collect

When you submit a form on this website, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, city, role or status, company, hiring needs, availability, and any message you send us. If you create an account on the Aplio platform we collect the information needed to operate it, including profile and job interest information.

What we do not collect

We do not collect identity documents, payment information, biometric data, or precise location on this website. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not build profiles for third parties.

How we use it

  • To run the early access program and contact you about the pilot.
  • To improve the product and prioritize what we build next.
  • To match talent and employers in the future Aplio platform.
  • To respond to your messages and questions.

Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of your consent (when you submit a form), our legitimate interest in operating and improving the product, and to take steps at your request before entering into a possible agreement (for example, joining the pilot).

Cookies and local storage

This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking. The only client-side storage we use is strictly necessary: when you sign in to an Aplio account, your authentication session is kept in your browser's local storage so you stay logged in. No consent banner is required for strictly-necessary storage under Swiss and EU rules.

Sharing and processors

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to operate Aplio, under contract:

  • Supabase: database and authentication hosting.
  • Resend: transactional email delivery (notifying the founder of new submissions).
  • Cloudflare / Lovable: website hosting and content delivery.

International transfers

Some of our processors are based in the United States or use US infrastructure. When personal data is transferred outside Switzerland or the EEA, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards offered by the provider.

Data retention

We keep submissions for as long as needed to run the pilot and contact you about it, and no longer than necessary. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Children

Aplio is intended for users aged 15 or older. If you are younger than 15, please do not submit personal information. If you are between 15 and 16, we recommend you involve a parent or guardian.

Storage and security

Submissions are stored in our backend with row-level security. Access is restricted to the founder and team members who need it to operate the pilot. The website is served over HTTPS.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, delete, or restrict the use of your personal data. Where applicable, you also have the right to data portability and to object to processing. To exercise these rights, email damien.schmid@aplio.app and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local EU data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
